This service is for those who want only the elemental check for grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and spelling.
Intermediate Editing: $5.00**/page
The Intermediate Editing service is for those who wish to make their writing flow more smoothly. If your document calls for clarifying ideas, revising syntax, and word choice guidance, then this is the service for you. The Intermediate Editing service also includes Basic Proofreading.
Heavy Editing: $9.00**/page
The Heavy Editing service is primarily for restructuring the project or help in developing ideas. I will leave comments and suggestions in the margins of your document as we work together through numerous drafts. This service also includes the Basic Proofreading and Intermediate Editing packages.
Note: Rush Service is not available for projects that require Heavy Editing.
How It Works:
Most projects require rounds of editing. Depending on the type of project, the first round usually involves content editing. Subsequent rounds are the refining portions of the process. Using Microsoft Word, I engage the Track Changes feature in the document, making the suggested changes easily visible. In doing this, my intent is to help writers evaluate and improve their writing for both personal and career uses, because clear communication is essential in any field.
Projects are charged per page and prior to service via the PayPal button on the Contact page. The industry standard for a manuscript page is 250 words, as per the Editorial Freelancers Association. (To determine your page count, divide your document's word count by 250.) Projects may be submitted via email. For hard copies, please contact me for an address.
Turnaround time ranges from three (3) to five (5) business days. Rush Service is available for turnaround times of one to two business days, at an extra fee of $10.00.
**Please note: There is a minimum charge of $35.00 per project.
